Time

Remember when everything seem to flow with you so smoothly?

When there was love, joy and a sense of peace?

Remember that time when you sheltered me with serenity?

Remember when time stood still with just a glance of your eyes?

When the blue was an escape, prefect breathing room for an ocean on the clearest love?

Couldn’t time be rewound to remind us of the glisten in our eyes?

Couldn’t time be rewound, for the lost to be found?

How did we end up so consumed by time in the end?

How did time win a battle when it wasn’t a battle to begin?

How can we get it back, put our love back on track?

Can time actually heal the fragments of this once perfect picture?

Can time recapture the purest moments of the rarest love to to ever touch this generation?!

Why couldn’t time continue to stand still?!

Serenity’s Bliss (continued)

Bentley takes Serenity by the hand and leads her out to the street. “You mind walking to the park with me?” Serenity nods. “Are you going to be this quiet the whole time?” “I’m sorry Bentley. I’m just trying to wrap my head around you actually coming to talk to me.”  Serenity stumbles on her footing. She doesn’t know if she’s that nervous, or if its a result of the drink she was sipping on before Bentley tapped her on her shoulder. ” I’ve got you ma, I won’t let you fall.” Serenity tries to fight the warm redness of her cheeks, but Bentley saw through it.

“Tell me a little about yourself Serenity.” “Oh my gosh, are you really going to put me on the spot like this? I’m a freshman at  Tallulah State University. I’m spending the summer here with my bestie. I’m shy at first, but I can also be demanding at times. I’m from Louisiana. How about you?”

“Me?!” He responds. “I’m just an average dude, trying to make it. I play ball, I work out, hang with the guys, you know the usual stuff. Nothing too major with me.”  Bentley looks down away from Serenity for a bit. “What are you studying at TSU?” Serenity hesitates to answer. “I’m still trying to decide what I really wan to do.No judgement please.” Bentley grabs her hand, ” I would never judge you. Trust me, I wouldn’t even have the right to do so.”

Serenity looks at Bentley confused but pleased at the same time. She was so accustomed to everyone having an opinion about what it is she should major in that it was comforting that Bentley didn’t comment on her uncertainty. “What about you though Bentley?” He scrambles for the words. He hadn’t quite thought this through entirely. How was he going to explain his situation to her, and so early on at that. “Not at the moment,” he murmurs. Serenity picks up on his body language and sees that he’s not too comfortable with that topic.

“That’s kool,” she responds.  “Not everyone jumps right into school. It’s no biggie.”  Bentley looks as though he’s greatly relived by her response. “You into movies, he asks her.”  She chuckles, “of course I am.”  “Okay then beautiful, let me take you out tomorrow night. Maybe around 6:30 if thats okay with you?” Serenity blushes at the mere idea that he wants to take her out. “Sure! that’ll be fine.” They awkwardly stare at each other for a brief moment before Bentley suggests they start to walk back toward the party.

Serenity’s Bliss

She met dude at a block party on the corner of LaBeouf St. and Tara Rd. A night full of booze, drugs, and a hint of freedom. The kush made the nigh a very hazy memory. All but him. A 6’1, 175lb god on this side of heaven! A green eyed cutie with a caramel complexion, wrapped in solid muscles. Brown curly hair, deep dimples greeted her every time he smiled. He smelled like paradise on any given day. She wasn’t bad looking either. 5’9 medium build shorty with beautiful black hair with a slight wave. Dark skinned, clean complexion, brown eyes, 145lbs, thick ass, wide hips, voluptuous breasts that said hello before her beautiful smile could.

He watched her all night. Just as she watched him. Neither expecting the other to be interested. She’s a kind of outcast with a bad streak that could be presented if given the opportunity to be herself instead of what others expected of her. He’s a jock with a more tender side that he keeps hidden out of fear of rejection from his peers. She turns her back for a split second to talk to her bestie. She feels a tap on her shoulder. She turns around with her cup in hand, straw to her lip and falls captive to his green eyes.

“Hi, I’m Bentley. I’ve been trying to get up the courage to come over to talk you, and uh, well here I am.” She gazes at him, lost, choking, can’t seem to get her words out. Her best friend shoved her in the back. “I’m Serenity.” She coughs out. “Nice to meet you. “ He responded.

She fiddles with her hair. He checks the time on his wrist watch. Awkward silence. “You wanna go for a walk so we can talk?” Bentley asks. “Yes. That’s kool.” Serenity adds. They walk out of the party together. Serenity looks back and Paige, her best friend, and gives her a shocking but exciting look. Eager to see where this goes!

She

She grew weary, awaiting the moment a true love connection would find her. She became lost in her fear; the fear of someone wanting to love her beyond the scope of beauty. She gave way to the seemingly hopelessness she felt, recollecting the failed attempts before. She became blind, to the outstanding love one had to offer. She couldn’t seem to acknowledge the genuine as, nor grab hold of the unending desire. She couldn’t grasp one placing their heart in her hands, she trembled in fear of unworthiness. She became unsettled and the thought of a forever type of love rattled her soul to the heavens. Then She woke up!
